Yang wants her daughter to date a Chinese boy from a good background, but that’s not Liza’s type. She’s not as pretty as her older sister, nor is she as obedient, especially regarding the boys, she dates. Liza Yang cannot seem to do anything right in her mother’s eyes. Sadly, in my opinion, there were a few things this book did that did not work. Anyway, I was worried I wouldn’t like this because I feel like I’m past my YA contemporary romance era, but I decided to try the audiobook. There’s also an illustrated cover, which fits with the baking theme a bit more, but that is not the one I own. ~ Warning! Minor Spoilers!
